Platelet-rich plasma is skillfully incorporated into the skin through two effective methods: micro-needling and precise direct injection using a 4mm needle. The micro-needling procedure combines plasma with a vitamin C ampoule to promote skin regeneration and address issues like skin discoloration and imperfections. On the other hand, the injection method combines plasma with HA Skin Booster, which actively encourages tissue repair, stimulates collagen production, and fosters comprehensive skin rejuvenation. This dual approach effectively reduces the appearance of fine lines, dark circles and acne scars while simultaneously enhancing skin hydration levels.

PRODUCTS USED PRP TREATMENT
HA SKIN BOOSTERS
The synergy of non cross-linked HA Skin Booster and Plasma is exceptional in the fight against premature skin ageing than using Plasma as a standalone treatment. The Hyaluronic acid Skin Booster with a gel-like consistency retained the Plasma within the dermal layers for longer. As a result, the HA Skin Booster and Plasma combination emerge as a highly effective and enduring solution for achieving comprehensive skin rejuvenation.
PLATELET RICH PLASMA
Platelet-Derived Growth Factor (PDGF) is known for its ability to stimulate vital cellular processes, such as cell proliferation and tissue repair. PRP plays a pivotal role in promoting tissue healing and regeneration, making it an invaluable asset in treating skin ageing. The advantages of utilising PRP can be notably intensified when it is combined with Vitamin C and HA Skin Booster, resulting in a powerful synergy that significantly enhances the overall effectiveness of the treatment.
VITAMIN C
In our Vampire Facial, we intentionally blend Plasma with Vitamin C, due to its skin-brightening and antioxidant benefits, which gives a superior result to using just Plasma on its own. We have also found this powerful combination to reduce pigmentation, boost the skin’s cellular structure and promote a youthful and resilient complexion.

Products and Tools Used in Treatment
- Ageless Cleanser
- Illumine Toner
- Emla Topical Anesthetic
- Dermapen
- 2ml and 5ml Syringes
- 1 Syringe connectors,
- 1ml HA Skin Booster
- 1ml Vitamin C
- Centrifuge machine
- 2 X 8 ml Sodium Citrate Tubes
- 1 Butterfly needle with vacutainer
- Tourniquet
- Plaster
Step 1
PRP session starts with venipuncture treatment that extracts 16ml of your blood usually from your arm, similar to a routine blood test.
The collected blood is placed in a centrifuge, for 7 minutes to extract the Plasma from the blood cells.
Step 2 + 3
Step 2
Cleanse the skin with the Ageless cleanser, followed by Illumine Peel lotion to wipe the cleanser residue and prep for the PRP injections.
Apply a thin layer of topical numbing cream to minimise any discomfort during the procedure.
Step 3
Collect the plasma from the centrifuge machine and prepare 2 syringes.
Vampire facial - prepare 1 ml Plasma with 1 ml of Vitamin C
Plasma Injections - Take the rest of the plasma in a 5ml syringe and mix with 1ml HA Skin Booster using a syringe connector.
Step 4
Conduct a gentle Vampire Facial procedure, using a Dermapen set to a 1.0mm needle depth. Use a 2ml syringe containing prepared Plasma infused with Vitamin C. The objective of this treatment is to create channels in the skin to facilitate the transport of Plasma into the dermis, therefore the skin needling should be performed lightly, ensuring that the skin becomes thoroughly saturated with the Plasma solution to maximise its effectiveness.
Step 5+6
Step 5
Following the Skin Needling, continue with PRP injections on areas that are showing signs of ageing, dark circles and pigmentation, utilising the 5ml Plasma and HA Skin Booster syringe. Administer small, methodically placed papules with a 4mm Meso needle, across the entire face and neck, ensuring precise injections on the upper dermis. This approach optimizes the treatment's effectiveness and outcomes.
Step 6
Upon completing the injections, carefully eliminate any blood spots from the injection sites using a damp cotton pad. In case of excessive swelling, the application of cold compresses is optional, as it is generally advisable to leave the Plasma on the skin. Conclude the procedure by applying Illumine Moisturiser SPF 50 to the treated area for added protection.
Aftercare
Avoid touching the treated area to reduce the risk of infection.
Mild swelling, redness or bruising at the injection sites is normal and temporary, you can use cold compresses or Aloe vera gel if needed.
For 48 hours, steer clear of vigorous exercise and heat treatments.
If you've had a PRP Hairloss treatment, do not touch the treated area and only wash the hair after 24 hours using a mild shampoo.
FAQ
HOW DOES PRP TREATMENT WORK?
Platelet-Rich Plasma treatment uses the Plasma derived from your own blood to promote tissue repair and skin regeneration. During the procedure, around 20ml of your blood is drawn and put through the centrifuge machine to extract the Plasma which is subsequently injected in the skin to promote tissue repair and revitalisation of the skin.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF HAVING PRP TREATMENT?
PRP treatment utilises platelets rich in growth factors to trigger cell repair, collagen synthesis, and tissue regeneration. This activation of natural healing processes can lead to various benefits, including enhanced skin texture, diminished fine lines and wrinkles, reduced pain and inflammation, or even stimulated hair growth, depending on the treatment objective.
ARE PRP INJECTIONS PAINFUL?
It depends on your pain threshold, some clients say that it’s painful, others describe the discomfort as being similar to a mild pinch or stinging sensation. The injections on the face are quick and superficial and easily tolerable, however the scalp is a sensitive area and the treatment is very painful.
WILL I EXPERIENCE ANY DOWNTIME AFTER PRP?
Yes, since there are a lot of tiny injections that can potentially leave mild erythema, swelling, and skin sensitivity immediately after the procedure. These effects are typically temporary and can take around 48 hours to subside, during which time caution is required.
HOW LONG BEFORE I WILL SEE THE RESULTS?
With treatments like the Vampire facial with Vitamin C and Plasma injections with HA Skin booster, results typically become apparent within days, post the healing period. However, if the treatment involves only plasma, the results may develop more slowly, often taking several months to become noticeable. It's important to note that it’s the Vitamin C, Dermapen and HA Skin Booster that gives immediate results after our PRP treatment, as the growth factors in the plasma typically take up to 30 days to complete their regenerative work, and show results.
WILL PRP RESTORE HAIR IN MY BALD PATCH?
No,
If you have had a shiny scalp for many years, it is unlikely that there is any activity left in the hair follicle. PRP can activate follicles that are in a resting phase which helps, when you start to thin your hair, or develop a bald patch, however it doesn’t work if the follicle is dead.
