The Nd:YAG Q-switched laser works for pigmentation and sunspot removal by emitting high-energy pulses of light at specific wavelengths that target melanin, the pigment responsible for dark spots in the skin. The Q-switching technology allows for very short pulses of light which generate intense energy in a short duration. This effectively fragments the melanin particles without causing significant damage to surrounding tissue. As the melanin absorbs the laser energy, it breaks down into smaller particles that are gradually cleared away by the body's natural processes. Over multiple sessions, the targeted pigmentation fades, resulting in clearer and more even-toned skin. Additionally, the Nd:YAG laser can stimulate collagen production, further improving the texture and appearance of the treated area.
FAQs
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF HAVING THE CARBON LASER PEEL?
The carbon laser peel exfoliates the skin, removing dead skin cells, congestion and impurities from the pores.
It can also help to even out skin tone, give radiance to dull skin, improve hyperpigmentation, over time and with regular treatments, the skin can result in a more uniform and a brighter complexion with reduced pigmentation irregularities.
HOW DOES THE Q-SWITCH LASER WORK ON EPIDERMAL AND DERMAL PIGMENTATION REMOVAL?
The Q Switch laser beam is attracted to dark pigment in the skin, the heat generated by the laser injures the skin and any skin lesions causing the cells to fragment and break apart.
The absorbed light energy is converted into heat, causing thermal damage to the melanin-containing cells in the epidermis.
Over time, the lymphatic drainage system will remove the fragmented pigment particles from the skin, leading to a gradual pigmentation lightening or removal of the skin lesions.
How Does The IPL Laser Work on The Skin Rejuvenation Treatments?
Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) is less targeted than the Q Switch laser, however good at treating superficial pigmentation, sun damage on skin types I-II only, but it usually requires more sessions than Q Switch laser treatments to achieve the results on pigmentation issues.
Can the Q Switch Laser target Tattoo Removal?
Yes, the 1064 nm breaks down the black/blue ink while the 532 nm works on the coloured tattoos red/brown.
The absorbed light energy is converted into heat, causing thermal damage to the skin and shattering the ink in the epidermis.
Within 7 days, the lymphatic drainage system will remove the fragmented ink particles, leading to a gradual lightening or removal of the tattoo.
What initial steps should you take if you are interested in buying this laser?
Upon considering the purchase of this laser, the first step involves scheduling an appointment with Michela, who will provide a detailed walkthrough of the laser machine's specifications and offer a demonstration. Should you opt to proceed with the purchase, a 50% deposit is required at the time of order placement. The remaining balance is due 8-10 weeks later, coinciding with the machine's delivery. However, it's important to note that any damage or breakage to the machine's handles or issues arising from manual mishandling will not be covered under warranty. In such cases, the cost for replacing or repairing the handpiece may be incurred, up to a maximum value of £435.

What our therapists say
Michela DoraWe used to do Laser Carbon peels over 10 years ago with great results and it has now come back into the industry as an updated version called the Korean glass treatment. It lightens skin blemishes, pigmentation like no other treatment I have done in my 15 years as a skin therapist. love the immediate results. It is more profitable than my other facials and very little product cost compared to other facials. I train students in this treatment and I highly recommend the Q Switch Laser to fellow salon owners looking to upgrade their facials and bring in new clients.
Natasha VidelI have had many facials over the last few years, the glow Carbon facial gave my skin was the best. I expected the Carbon peel to leave my skin red and sensitive, but there was no downtime.
The noise of the laser was the only scary bit about the whole experience, at first than the I loved the compliments I got afterwards from friends and have already booked my next appointment.
Kaneez StokerI have found the 4D Laser very easy to use and didn’t have any fear once I saw that the Laser collaborates itself and automatically does the settings. Laser treatments are really satisfying to do and are now my favourite treatment to do.
