The Illumine Peel is a potent blend of 30% AHA and BHA acids that are used for targeting skin dullness, discolouration, uneven tone and even helping with hydration and pigmentation control.

While BHA acids remove the dead skin, remove the surface impurities and unclog the pores, AHA’s penetrate deeper into the skin, all while preserving the skin's pH balance.

Glycolic, Lactic and Tartaric acids unite with Vitamin C for a hydrating and brightening synergy, complemented by calming chamomile and green tea extracts. This peel also seamlessly complements skin needling, which can be used to magnify its impact. Remarkably, this peel offers no downtime or visible shedding and is suitable even in tropical climates.

Best For:The Illumine Peel is a perfect choice for those aiming to brighten their skin tone, rectify discoloration, brighten pigmentation and achieve a radiant, flawless complexion.

  • Glycolic Acid

Derived from sugar cane, glycolic acid is an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) which is a remarkable exfoliator in the Illumine Peel. It delicately eliminates dead skin cells, unveiling a radiant, smoother complexion. Its collagen-boosting effects contribute to the diminishing of fine lines and helping the skin to stay looking youthful.

  • Tartaric Acid

Derived from grapes, Tartaric Acid plays a pivotal role in the Illumine Peel by its antioxidant attributes to shield the skin from the damaging effects of free radicals.

The gentle exfoliation within the peel contributes to the reduction of uneven skin tone and in achieving healthier, more balanced skin.

  • Salicylic Acid

Salicylic Acid, a potent beta hydroxy acid (BHA), is renowned for its ability to work on a more superficial level. However, when strategically combined with Glycolic and Tartaric acids, it transcends its usual boundaries and delves deeper into the skin. This dynamic trio penetrates down to the pore lining, effectively clearing any congestion and providing the skin clarity.

FAQs

How can I boost my antioxidant levels to prevent pigmentation naturally?

By incorporating potent antioxidants like Turmeric and Vitamin C into both your diet and skincare. Using these antioxidants in masks and serums amplifies their efficacy against free radicals. Foods abundant in antioxidants also help with this. Such as berries, nuts, dark leafy greens and green tea. These combined will help to safeguard the skin from pigmentation triggers.

What causes pigmentation in the first place?

Pigmentation can result from a combination of factors, including sun exposure (UV radiation), hormonal changes, certain medications and genetic predisposition. It occurs when your body is lacking antioxidants and when melanin is overproduced in certain areas of the skin.

Is every 2 weeks too frequent to have the Illumine Peel?

Its distinct formula ensures the peel is gentle yet effective, combining brightening acids, antioxidants, and soothing plant extracts. To address pigmentation deep in the basal layer, a consistent bi-weekly treatment is recommended. This approach avoids the pitfalls of high-percentage acids which might lead to excessive peeling or pH shifts in the skin.

Are there specific products I can use at home to enhance the effects of the Illumine Peel?

Absolutely! To amplify the results of the Illumine Peel at home we recommend integrating the antioxidant-infused Illumine Serum and Illumine Hydra Solution into your daily regime.

Following up with the Illumine Moisturiser not only bolsters the effects of the peel but also aids in warding off future pigmentation. Proper and consistent homecare is the key to sustained results.

How often should I schedule a professional Illumine Peel facial?

If you’re seeking to combat dull skin and desire a radiant glow, a monthly session is ideal. However, if addressing pigmentation or acne blemishes is your primary concern, every 2 weeks for a course of 5 treatments combined with a dedicated Illumine homecare routine yields exceptional results.

Can the Illumine Peel address all types of pigmentation?

Unfortunately not. The Illumine Peel is specifically designed to target hyperpigmentation and skin blemishes. However, it's worth noting that it may not be effective for conditions like melasma and chloasma. These deeper, often hormone-induced pigmentation require a more specialised approach. For melasma and chloasma, treatments such as fractional laser therapy and deeper chemical peels under the supervision of a dermatologist are a better option.
