Our course is dedicated to teaching you the art of creative Dermal filler injections, with a focus on achieving natural enhancements that provide a well-defined contour to the face.
During the two-day course, the majority of your time will be dedicated to hands-on practice, where you will have the opportunity to perform treatments on models while strictly adhering to health and safety protocols for injectable procedures. To optimise your learning experience, we have shifted most of the theoretical components and assignments to an online format. This strategic approach allows our instructors to focus on practical training, ensuring that you leave the course fully confident.
Course Overview
The first day of our course is dedicated exclusively to Lip filler training, providing extensive hands-on experience in creating various Lip variations on models throughout the day. Additionally, you will receive training in managing complications and the art of safely dissolving Dermal fillers.
What truly sets our course apart is our commitment to offering training that extends beyond 1 area. Many of our models are booked for contour packages, which include cheeks, nasolabial folds and marionette lines, all in a single session. This intensive, back-to-back client session approach allows us to impart knowledge unreservedly and ensures that you gain practical experience in creating complete facial transformations that your clients will love.
Contour package areas
The Dermal Filler Training covers the Lips, Cheeks, Nasolabiel folds, Marionette lines and Chin.
This course begins with a review of A&P and Health and safety precautions, building upon the pre-course learning, with specific training on the precise locations of arteries in the lower face, which are "no go" or "critical injection zones" you will learn how to aspirate near the artery locations and avoid occlusions that can potentially lead to severe complications such as tissue necrosis. Furthermore, we provide essential training on the proper handling and disposal of medical waste within your clinic, emphasizing the importance of maintaining a sterile and safe environment.
How to manage Risks and Complications
This course extensively covers any severe complications that may arise from Dermal Filler treatments, including a step by step on how to identify the first signs of tissue necrosis and how to dissolve the fillers with Hylase. Your hands-on training will cover how to aspirate near the artery locations, identify contraindications and manage clients that may experience minor complications such as bruising, product nodules post injections, asymmetry, under or over filler placement. Please note it is mandatory and an insurance requirement for you to take a First Aid and Complications course.
Unit 3: DERMAL FILLERS
You will receive product knowledge of the Revolax Filler range that we will be using, on most of the facial areas. Revolax SubQ is our preferred choice for the contour package and Revolax Deep for the lips. Our models will be booked to have their 3ml packages for their contour packages, and each student will work on each side on many models, this gives ample hands-on experience for all. We take a small group of students and cap the class at 4, this ensures a personalised training that leads to a better training experience for both you and your teacher.
Prerequisites
Level 6 Anti-Wrinkle Injection or Mesotherapy experience.
Structure of the Course
DAY 1:
Lip Fillers training: The morning session focuses on essential theoretical aspects, preparing you comprehensively for the hands-on experience ahead. It begins with an in-depth exploration of location of arteries, crucial knowledge for anyone working with dermal fillers. Safety is paramount, Theory covers underpinning knowledge on the Revolax product range followed by a demo on Lip Filler on model and on how to remove fillers with hyalase. Throughout the afternoon session, you will work on many models with different variations of Lip Filler techniques.
Day 2:
The Contour package training on the last day is dedicated to actively working on a diverse range of models, who are mostly having 3 ml contour packages on the cheeks, nasolabial folds and marionette lines and chin . This hands-on approach offers you a valuable opportunity to follow a step-by-step protocol encompassing client consultation, precise identification of client goals and expectations, assessing treatment areas and identifying the most suitable product.. By day's end, the documented treatment plans are filed away and the portfolio of evidence completed and handed in.
